I've spent a good part of the last couple days building websites. It's a thing I've enjoyed for the better part of 20 years now. My have things changed since those first hideous pages. I'm certainly spending a lot less time in a graphics editor these days – it's hardly necessary at all now, to be completely honest. Which is useful, because I suck at any kind of art.

It's funny, but the most aesthetically pleasing things I've ever made have come not from a brush or pen or GUI graphics editor, but by manipulating markup or code, such as with CSS or making animated gifs in the command line.

There's probably something important there I should realise, but it's late and my brain isn't at its best.
